What Is Darjeeling Tea?
Darjeeling tea comes from a protected tea-growing area in India. It is prized for a range of fragrant, often lighter cups, but flavor varies with harvest season and individual garden.

Origin is part of the definition
Darjeeling is not simply a flavor adjective. Tea Board India protects the name through a certification scheme tied to defined growing and production conditions. If you want genuine Darjeeling, look for a producer who identifies the origin clearly rather than a blend that merely invokes the region.
First and later seasonal harvests can differ. A first-flush tea may be especially lively and light; later lots can offer deeper fruit or body. The exact cup still depends on the garden and processing.
Brew to hear its quieter notes
Start with black-tea guidance but watch the cup rather than automatically making it very strong. Try a shorter steep and taste it plain. If you want more depth, add time or leaf on the next brew.
White Field uses Darjeeling as a concept in its planned collection, but final sourcing and labeling should be confirmed from the finished product.
