Faith and mission
How Can Christians Respect Culture While Sharing Christ?
Christians can learn language, listen to local people, honor what is good in a culture, and still speak clearly about Jesus. The Gospel is not owned by a Western nation or a tea company.

Listen before making assumptions
A community is more than a mission category. People have families, work, hospitality, art, and history. Language learning and local relationships help a witness avoid careless caricatures and explain Scripture intelligibly. A respectful posture never requires pretending Christian convictions are absent.
Acts 17 presents Paul engaging his hearers’ setting while proclaiming the Creator and calling for repentance. The example is neither cultural contempt nor silence about Christ.
Honor local agency
The Great Commission envisions disciples among all nations. It does not require people to adopt an American social identity. Healthy mission work makes space for local Christians to teach, lead, worship, and serve under Scripture.
White Field will not use an unidentified person’s face as proof of ministry impact. We want any public account of partners or outcomes to be accurate and safe for the people involved.
