What Does “Least Reached” Mean?
“Least reached” describes communities with limited access to a clear Gospel witness, Scripture, and a local church. It is a description of access, not a judgment about anyone’s worth, intelligence, or culture.

The question is access
A person can live in a place with Christians somewhere nearby and still have little opportunity to hear the Gospel in a language they understand or speak with a mature local believer. Reaching a community involves patient witness, translation, discipleship, and the formation of churches—not merely counting a contact or a video view.
The term should be used carefully. Access changes over time, and broad labels cannot describe every individual. We avoid assigning a spiritual status to strangers in photographs or making claims about a specific community without reliable evidence.
Why Christians care
Jesus commands his church to make disciples of all nations, baptizing and teaching them to obey him (Matthew 28:18–20). Paul connects faith with hearing the word of Christ and with people being sent to preach (Romans 10:13–17).
This concern begins with the dignity of our neighbors. They are people made in God’s image, not a statistic or a story device. White Field’s aim is to support faithful Christian ministry where ordinary access to that message is limited.
