Loose Leaf Tea vs Tea Bags: Which Is Better?
Loose leaf gives you direct control over leaf amount and steeping space; tea bags prioritize convenience. The better choice is the one that produces a cup you enjoy and will actually make.

What loose leaf offers
With loose leaf, you can see and measure the tea. A roomy basket lets the leaves open and circulate as they steep. You can use less for a light cup, more for a robust one, or try a second infusion when a tea supports it.
The tradeoff is a little more setup and cleanup. A basket infuser and a spoon are usually enough; elaborate equipment is optional.
What bags can offer
A bag is quick, portable, and easy to share. The contents can vary widely: some hold small broken particles, while others hold larger leaves. Material and shape also affect how much room the tea has.
Taste both forms without assuming one must win. If you choose convenience, give the bag enough water and a full steep. If you choose loose leaf, keep the method simple enough to enjoy on an ordinary day.
